Nokia has announced and has made available a new plug in which allows Mac users to utilise the iSync management software program, created via Apple, on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone.
Up until now, Mac users have been frustrated when wanting to tweak Nokia's Symbian phones. The ideal program for Mac users has been iSync. This utility works in a similar way to ActiveSync and can be used to synchronise data in applications such as iCal, in which it has the ability to synchronise with the internal diary entries plus the address book. Although Symbian phones, generally, remain incompatible, the 5800 XpressMusic can now handle the utility, according to the Symbian Freak website.
This plug-in may even serve as a ‘deal breaker', the difference , for Mac users, between buying this handset and a competing handset.
