Rumours are currently flooding the internet regarding the imminent arrival of the new version of the Android mobile phone – known as the G2. In fact, many observers are predicting that the new phone will actually arrive in May, according to the Gizmodo website.
One of the most controversial aspects of the reported new design specification is that the keyboard has been removed from the chassis, thus inferring that the design team has perfected a virtual keyboard in a similar fashion to that on the Apple iPhone. As such, the new G2 will be a much slimmer handset than the original T-Mobile G1.
Observers have also commented on additional features that are reputedly included, such as a built-in camera which is supposed to reach 3.2 megapixels (a decent mid-range standard), and a close similarity to the original G1 interface.
