Clamshell phones are so last season

 

According to Strategy Analytics, clamshells are losing footing in Western Europe and the US, where slider phones like the Samsung F400, right, are coming into vogue. Strategy Analytics says that though clamshells are still the most popular style in the US,  "interest has declined by 16 points since 2006."

 

Makes sense, as practically any phone of note post-iPhone 3G - one of, if not the, phone that made smartphones sexy - has been of similar slim build, web-optimised with touchscreen and a list of capabilities longer than your own...
