Blackberry can now be used for surveillance

The Intelligent Designs Group has just launched the Total Control suite of software created especially for the Blackberry mobile phone. One of the more significant portions of the package is the video surveillance portion which enables you  to control and view live video streams from supported IP cameras and video recorders.

In addition, you don't need to buy yourself a server to drive it because the Total Control package sets up the connection directly between the Blackberry and your camera hardware. The BlackBerry Video Camera Edition software is a one time purchase starting from $59.99 for the single camera version, and no monthly subscriptions.

According to the company, the video camera software is available in five packages: Singlecam Edition: 1 supported video feed; Personal Edition: 4 supported video feeds; Small Business Edition: 8 supported video feeds; Multicam Edition: 16 supported video feeds and Enterprise Edition: Unlimited supported video feeds (contact directly for pricing).
