Sony Ericsson?s customisable Walkman phone

The latest Sony Ericsson Walkman phone looks set to come with all the trimmings, including a choice of changeable covers. The W508 comes with Shake and Gesture control, SensMe, TrackID and access to the manufacturer's PlayNow arena. However, it's the Style-Up changeable covers that really make this phone stand out from the vast array of other Walkman phones. Users will be able to choose two from a range of eight covers that can in turn be fixed to the device depending on what takes your fancy.

Shake control enables you to change your tracks or volume levels by simply flicking the phone, while Gesture control allows you to silence or snooze a call or alarm with the sweep of your hand. SensMe arranges your music tracks into various mood categories while TrackID will identify unknown songs with the touch of a button. Other features include HSDPA and a 3.2-megpaixel camera, while Sony Ericsson has been kind enough to include a 1GB M2 memory card.

The Sony Ericsson W508 will be available from Q2 in Metal Grey and Poetic White.
