Nokia has unveiled the new 6208c mobile phone. Granted, the handset has been unveiled in China only at this time and a UK release is still to be decided. However, the reason that this particular handset's release is so notable is that it represents the first time that a Nokia handset, powered by the S40 operating system, has been controlled with a touch screen. The screen itself spans 2.4 in and also includes a stylus which suggests that the screen is of a resistive construction. The 6208c includes a full keypad.
According to the Unwired website, the Nokia 6208c will be a Tri-band EGSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 handset with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and support for tethering. It also comes with a built-in 3.2MP camera with 4x digital zoom and dual-LED flash.
Music fans will be relieved to hear that a 3.5mm headphone jack is also included.
