Orange customers will be the first to get their hands on the HTC Touch HD when it begins selling in early November. Sporting HTC's TouchFLO 3D user interface, users will be able to navigate around the vast amount of features with the swipe of a finger.
The screen is an impressive 3.8-inches big, with both Orange and HTC promising a stunning viewing experience when watching movies or using Orange's mobile TV service. It also has an impressively specced five-megapixel camera complete with auto-focus. Other features include A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack that allows you to plug in your own headphones.
Having seen the handset first hand, we can confirm that the HTC Touch HD is a beautifully assembled and intuitive handset. However, we were taken aback by the cost. Exclusive on the Orange UK network until 2009, the HTC Touch HD is available for £79.99 on an 18-month, £40-per-month contract. The handset is available from Orange via Orange Stores, Orange Telesales (0800 079 2000) and Orange's online shop http://www.orange.co.uk/.
