Touch-screen handsets are now no longer restricted to long, expensive contracts. Despite Mobile Choice unearthing the story last month, LG has finally announced their prepay touch-screen device, and it has a new name. The LG KP500 will now be known as the LG Cookie.
Measuring just 13.9mm thick and weighing in at only 89g, the touch-screen is an impressive three-inches big. Turn the handset on its side and the screen will display a full QWERTY keyboard or alternatively users can write emails and texts via the handwriting recognition application with the aid of the stylus that neatly tucks away into the base of the device.
Other features include an MP3 player, FM radio and a three-megapixel camera. In addition, users can customise their interface by designating which icon widgets should appear as shortcuts on the home screen.
The LG Cookie will be available in November from Carphone Warehouse for around £159.95 inclusive of £10 credit on O2.
