The launch of the new LG Rhythm has caught many observers on the hop. To such an extent that the US-based carrier, Alltel, is now offering the new mobile phone a whole month before the mobile was due for an official release.
Based on a slider design, the LG phone includes an intriguing new feature: specifically, a touch sensitive display in the centre of the d-pad. Other features include a FM radio for entertainment plus a 3.5mm headphone port - a nice change from the preponderance of headphone convertors currently occupying too many other phones.
You also get a MP3 player, according to the Engadget website, plus a microSD slot which can up the internal memory capacity to a healthy 8Gb. Music facilities also include a Mark Levinson tweaked graphic equalizer.
Other features include a built in camera. However, the specification is only rated at a low 1.3MP.
