Samsung is set to release a new mobile phone called the S3600. The first intriguing aspect of the phone is the name which moves away from the usual labelling convention. Will the ‘S' moniker stand for a low cost range? We ask because that it exactly what the S3600 addresses. The features included within the handset are broad but the quality of each is aimed at the value end of the market.
For example, the internal memory is limited to just 30Mb. However, that is alleviated somewhat with the introduction of a microSD card slot which, says the Engadget website, can be upgraded to a full 2Gb to enable you to squeeze extra music, pictures or video onto the phone.
Other features include Bluetooth for wireless connections, a built in camera which only provides a lowly 1.3MP and a TFT screen measuring 2.2in and displaying 65k colours.
