The new Research In Motion Blackberry 8220 Pearl clamshell smartphone will initially be handled via T-Mobile, says reports. The first release will occur in the USA.
According to the Mobile Whack website, Leslie Grandy, vice president of product development for T-Mobile USA, said, "The flip phone remains the vastly dominant and preferred design for mobile phones in the United States. Being the first company in the US to offer the unique Blackberry experience on a flip phone is a huge benefit for T-Mobile customers."
The website confirmed that the phone will support the sharing of pictures and check social networking sites through its advanced multimedia functioning. Other features includes the stereo version of Bluetooth plus Hot Spot Calling. The chassis will include a SureType keyboard.
The phone will also include a built in camera. However, the specification is nothing to shout about at just 2MP, It will include a digital zoom, however.
