Hot on the heels of the KC910, LG is launching another eight-megapixel camera phone. Although an official release is yet to be announced, it is understood that the LG KC780 will boast a 2.4-inch widescreen LCD display, with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. As well as face detection, which concentrates on the detail of a subjects face, and smile shot, which automatically takes a pic when the subject grins, the KC910 also houses a Beauty Mode. LG claims this Beauty Mode removes "imperfections" from a persons face, giving you a flawless shot.
At 13.9mm thick, the LG KC780 is marginally thinner than the KC910, while it also has the ability of recording DVD quality video. Gaming enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that a range of "motion sensor games" will also be onboard the device. There are currently no details on pricing or what operators will take on the handset, though it is expected to be out in time for Christmas.
