More information has been released regarding the official specifications for the forthcoming Research In Motion (RIM) Blackberry Storm 9500. Based on a 624Mhz CPU running on 128Mb of RAM, the phone also supports 1Gb of internal memory upgradable to 8Gb via a microSD slot. The TFT screen spans 3.25in and packs in 65k colours over 360 x 480 pixels.
Based on a 3G HDSPA and 2G GSM network via a Blackberry operating system, the software includes HTML browsing, instant messaging, MMS, email and SMS, DataViz document viewer and editor, a calculator, voice dial, voice memo, built-in handsfree and an organizer plus Blackberry maps for navigation along with a built in GPS and an accelerometer for auto rotation and speeding up operations.
You also get Bluetooth 2.0 for short range, wireless connection and a 3.5in headphone socket - there's no need for a fiddly adaptor. The chassis measures 112.5 x 62.2 x 13.9 mm.
