3 slashes Skype international calling charges

Customers of 3 who have one of their Skype enabled mobile phones will soon be able to save even more on their calls. The operator has announced that making mobile phone calls to landlines and even other mobile phones abroad via Skype will be possible at very low rates. Customers will be able to top up their Skype credit via a Skype subscription or by purchasing Skype credit which will be reduced once such a call has been made.

Although embedded on 3's Skype range, including the Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson C902 and both the original Skypephone and the Skypephone S2, users have two separate accounts, their Skype and standard mobile account. Calling other Skype users or instant messaging them will continue to be free, while calling landlines and mobiles within the UK or Ireland will revert to charging your standard mobile phone account.

Visit http://www.skype.com/ for more information on calling abroad with a Skype phone or www.three.co.uk/skype for a list of 3's mobile phones that support Skype.
