LG is bringing full touchsreen phones to the masses with the launch of the KP500, which boasts a 3ins touch sensitive display and a stylus that's stored in the phone's base, plus an accelerometer for motion sensor gaming.
The KP-500 is a glossy black quad band handset that looks slim and sports a titanium trim, so it should be able to withstand a few knocks.
LG says the handset is designed to be easy to use and the device offers the drag and drop customisable widgets that also appear on the LG Renoir.
The phone enables handset recognition, so you can write memos and text messages using the stylus. If you'd rather use a more conventional means of text entry, the handset features a virtual QWERTY touchscreen keypad which auto rotates to landscape or portrait as the phone is tilted.
The LG KP500 is due to launch at the end of October. Pricing will be announced shortly.
