The latest addition to Sony Ericsson's Walkman range has video at its core. The slider handset sports an embedded YouTube application that enables users to upload videos they have shot with the W595 easily and direct from the handset. Once a video has been posted, users can alert their friends and family to it by texting them the YouTube link.
Being a Walkman handset, the W595 is of course a capable music phone. The handset comes bundled with a 2GB memory stick, while tracks can be arranged via the SensMe application that allocates tunes into particular moods. The Sony Ericsson W595 also features shake control meaning tracks can be fast forwarded, rewound or volume levels changed with the flick of a wrist. There is also a 3.2-megapixel camera thrown in for good measure.
The Sony Ericsson W595 is available exclusively to 3 in "jungle grey", from £17 a month including 300 minutes and texts, thanks to 3's Mix & Match 300 tariff. Prepay customers of 3 will be able to pick up the handset for £129.99. Other operators are expected to take the handset in the coming weeks.
