Proving to be one of the busiest manufacturers in recent weeks, HTC has unveiled another high-specced smartphone with multimedia at its very core. The main focal point of the HTC Touch HD is the humungous 3.8-inch touch-screen that makes it 0.3 inches bigger than the iPhones. The Touch HD becomes the third HTC device after the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro, to feature their TouchFLO 3D interface that allows the user to skim through their contacts, messages and media content with the swipe of a finger. However, the Touch HD is the first HTC device to sport a five-megapixel camera, complete with auto-focus.
Aimed at both the professional and the consumer, we're pleased to inform that HTC has included a 3.5mm headphone jack, meaning you can plug in your own headphones when listening to the onboard music player or when watching video on the phone. With both A-GPS and Wi-Fi onboard, users will also be able to enjoy broadband internet speeds thanks to HSDPA data speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. The press shots paint the phone in a very good light and with an 8GB microSD memory card boxed in, the HTC Touch HD has all the makings of being a popular handset.
The HTC Touch HD is expected to begin shipping in Q4 2008.
