The Pantech SKY IM-S730 mobile phone has initially been released in South Korea. Also known as the Blue Wink, the new handset is reported to feature a healthily-sized screen spanning 2.6 inches with a good-quality QVGA resolution.
Data transfer will be very swift with the HSDPA support and navigation is included via the GPS facility. A camera is apparently to be included, according to the Intomobile website, although the performance is apparently only rated at a disappointing 1.3 megapixels. Entertainment will be supplied via a media player plus a featured FM radio. Expansion for extra memory will be supplied by a microSD slot but it's currently unknown to what limit the memory can be expanded to.
No-one quite knows why the phone has been labelled the Blue Wink. Whether it refers to some aspect of the design of if there's a cultural link with the name.
