Belkin is to announce the launch of a new iPhone gaming conteroller called the JoyPod and, according to rumours, the device will include support for the AppStore. A forthcoming advert has been leaked, which appears to confirm the story and will allow you to access and download AppStore games to download direct to the iPhone. Once there, the JoyPod will act as a gaming controller for those games.
According to the reports from the Touch Arcade website, the JoyPod will feature a total of eight buttons on the device with six of those buttons situated at the front. Additional features include a reported audio output plus a connector for a dock for both power and syncing.
If the reports are correct, then that infers that Apple will be including support into its SDK toolkit to allow AppStore games to take full advantage of these controllers.
