SkyLink AnyDATA ASP-505 and Ubiquam U800 mobile phones announced

The Russian operator, SkyLink, has just announced two new handsets for imminent release: the AnyDATA ASP-505 and the Ubiquam U800. The AnyDATA ASP-505, running off a 400Mhz CPU, measuring 102x58x14.3mm and weighing 120g, features the more impressive specifications of the two.


It runs on Windows Professional 6.1 and includes dual-band CDMA connectivity (450/800Hz) with EV-DO Rev. The handset uses a large, 2.8-inch TFT screen. Supporting a touch-screen interface, the image spans 240x320 pixels and 65,000 colours.


According to the Softpedia website, data transfer is speeded along via Wi-Fi, and you can't get yourself lost using the phone as it also includes GPS. Expansion is available via a Bluetooth 2.0 port and a microSD slot, and entertainment is catered for via music and video players.


The Ubiquam U800 features a full QWERTY keyboard and supports mobile TV, comes with a music player, GPS and Bluetooth. No UK distribution or price details have been released yet.
