Reports say that the forthcoming Blackberry Bold 9000 has been delayed because of issues regarding its battery and internal software. The new release date now looks likely to be mid-August.
There are also additional problems with the new mobile phone's design which relate the the device overheating.
According to the BGR website, the new design is 4.5 x 2.6 x 0.5in and weighs 4.7 ounces and includes a new QWERTY keyboard which RIM says updates the Curve keyboard. Based on a quad-band system, the Bold features HSDPA/UMTS support for fast data transfer plus 3G. The problem of giving this particular feature a decent battery life has provided some concern to the manufacturers, Research In Motion.
Other features include GPS, WiFi and a fast 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor. The Bold arrives with 128Mb of fast, flash memory plus 1Gb of onboard memory with a microSD/SDHC expansion slot. You also receive a 2MP camera with a video record ability plus 5x zoom.
