New OS 4.6 for Blackberry's mobile phones almost here

The forthcoming release of the Blackberry Bold 9000 and Thunder 9500 will include an upgrade to the operating system to v4.6.

 

The company says that the new operating system will feature improved browser rendering which includes JavaScript 1.5, CSS 2.1, AJAX, HTML 4.01, Integrated Go To, Search, Bookmarks and a History Launch Screen.

 

According to the Horizon Wireless Online website, additional features will also see click zooming being implemented, triggered by the trackball with which you will also be able to scroll. There's also a Music Sync feature, a Clock application and Setup Wizard 2.0. You will also be able to select the Home Screen grid size.

 

Further additions will mean the inclusion of continuous spell checking, support for greyscale and reverse contrast display plus many more enhancements.

 

There is no news yet that the new verion of the operating system will be applied to other phones in the Blackberry range.
