In conjunction with the launch of the MOTO ROKR E8, Motorola has announced three new speaker systems. Motorola has generously made all three of the EQ Speaker range compatible with rival manufacturers including Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG and Samsung. In addition, all three products sport a 3.5mm standard audio jack allowing other music sources to be plugged in, while the MOTOROKR EQ5 and EQ7 can be connected via Bluetooth.
The MOTOROKR EQ3 Compact Folding Speaker, as the name would suggest, is a compact device that can be folded away for easy transportation. Battery operated, the EQ3 has no Bluetooth technology, but it does feature an extension to the standard audio cable for improved FM radio reception.
In comparison the MOTOROKR EQ5 Portable Wireless Speaker can be connected to a PC or mobile phone via Bluetooth, while the speakers come with integrated controls to switch between music and phone calls at the touch of a button. Receive a call while playing your music and the EQ3 will automatically pause for you to take your incoming call. Likewise, the MOTOROKR EQ7 Wireless Hi-Fi Stereo Speaker also sports Bluetooth technology, though when paired to certain compatible devices, such as the MOTO Z10, users will be able to enjoy a wireless range of up to 100m.
All three products are expected to go on-sale in the next couple of months with the RRP to be confirmed.
