The attractive Samsung SPH-W5000 handset is nearing release, according to Samsung's own website in Korea. The SPH-W5000 has been much rumoured but now Samsung looks like it is about to launch the handset. The new phone, according to Mobilewhack, features a dual LCD screen: a small, external TFT screen and an internal 2.2in TFT displaying 65k colours. Other features include a 1.3MP camera plus video recording facilities and a digital zoom.
Weighing in at 96g, the tri-band phone offers HSDPA and WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) for fast data transfer plus support for Bluetooth, WAP and a music player. On the subject of music, the handset also supports a Music On Demand function. The mobile measures 100.4 x 50.5 x 13.5mm
