New images for the Samsung i900 have been released. The 112 x 56 x 13mm sized phone features a large 3.5in screen with 240 x 400, WQVGA resolution.
According to the Navigadget website, other features proposed for the quad-band i900 include a 5MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.2 EDR plus high speed HDSPA and 3G for fast data transfer. Other additions include FM radio, a mini-USB 2.0 socket and microSD for connectivity and storage, TV out, 256Mb RAM plus a 1500mAH battery. The whole phone will run on the Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 operating system.
Some commentators are looking at the Samsung i900 as a true competitor to both the Apple 3G iPhone and the newly released and much vaunted HTC Touch Diamond. As far as the design of the chassis is concerned, the new i900 can certainly hold its head high with the rest.
There are no suggestions to a possible price for the i900 or, in fact, any release date.
