T-Mobile adds to its smartphone range

In our excitement over last week's announcement of the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV, we forgot to mention that the operator also announced two other smartphones. The MDA Vario IV offers a full touch-screen that slides out to reveal a QWERTY keyboard that can be utilised for applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. The Vario IV also boasts ultra quick 7.2Mbps HSDPA speeds meaning you can enjoy fast internet access with T-Mobile's Web'n'Walk service. The Vario IV also provides a navigational experience with built-in GPS and Google Maps complete with a new 3D user interface, and a 3.2-megapixel camera is also featured.

The Ameo 16GB is a bulky device weighing in at 359g. Operating on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the Ameo 16GB boasts a full QWERTY keypad with a five-inch TFT touch-screen colour display as well 16GB of flash memory.

The MDA Vario IV is expected to start shipping in Q3 of this year, and the Ameo 16GB will be on sale in the next coupe of weeks.
