E-Ten has used the Computex 2008 event in Taiwan to launch four new smartphone devices. The Glofiish DX900 is effectively two mobile communication services in one device, due to a twin SIM dock. Users will be able to have two numbers to help distinguish between work and personal calls, or simply use one for calls and one for data. In addition, when travelling abroad, users will be able to insert a local SIM card for cheaper calls, along with their own home SIM card. The DX900 supports both HSDPA and EDGE, and it also sports GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity, while happy snappers will be able to enjoy the three-megapixel camera complete with auto-focus.
The Glofiish V900 is geared towards mobile digital TV, providing the latest news, TV shows and sports events direct to the handsets VGA display. The two other devices announced were the Glofiish X900 that promises fast HSDPA broadband speeds, and the Glofiish X610 has built-in GPS navigation to help you get from A to B. All four handsets feature E-Ten's new touch interface, with finger-friendly icons and 3D animations.
Pricing and on sale dates are yet to be confirmed.
