Samsung announces new version of Soul mobile phone

Samsung has announced a new version of the recently released Soul, the Soulb, a candybar version of the original slider-based Soul. The new Soulb comes in a brushed metallic finish, is 9.9mm thick and will arrive is a multitude of colours: Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Grey, Soul Pink and Amethyst Violet.

 

The new tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, HSDPA handset will also feature a 3MP camera, Blutooth 2.0, microSD slot and an array of built-in software such as a music player (headphones can be plugged into a 3.5in jack), video viewer, an internet browser, office document editor and viewer. You can also listen to the radio via its FM radio, which includes RDS, plus 1Gb of memory. It's 2in display is a QVGA TFT.

 

The Slashphone website says that Germany will see the launch of the Soulb early this month. The UK is expected to see the handset soon after, no price has yet been mooted.
