Samsung is due to release the new SPH-W4950 slider phone. The new handset, measuring 103 x 48 x 14.7mm, supports CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A. Not exactly the most powerful phone in the world, it does include a MP3 player and can support video play too.
Weighing in at 89.4g, the Samsung handset also includes a 1.3MP camera with a secondary VGA camera for video calling and a USB port. The mobile hosts a total of 40MB of internal memory plus a microSD/TransFlash memory slot to store your favourite numbers and images. The screen, a QVGA TFT LCD display, spans 2.1in.
Reportedly, the phone can remain on standby for up to 165 hours and provide up to 4.5 hours of talk time. At the moment, there is no word on UK distribution. In addition, the final price has yet to be revealed. However, looking at the specifications, don't expect the price to be too high.
