Nokia N78 on the verge of release

The Nokia N78 support pages, interactive demonstrations and full user manual are all on the Internet ready for examination. Now we await the formal release of the mobile phone itself. Announced in February of this year, the N78 is a fully featured handset that supports music, navigation, photography and productivity.

Specifically, the N78 features GPS technology with Nokia Maps and Geotagging integrated within. In addition to the 3.2MP camera, it also supports a microSD card packing up to 8GB with a 2MB card included. The front fascia displays a 2.4in QVGA screen of 16 million colours. Other high profile features include WiFi integrating automatic hotspot authentication, HSDPA, and Bluetooth, all sitting in Symbian OS 3rd Edition FP2. Weighing 102g, the handset will feature 320 hours of standby time and 190 minutes (WCDMA) and 260 minutes (GSM) talk time.

The price in the UK has yet to be announced but, in the USA, the price has been estimated at $550.
