Vodafone has announced a multimillion-pound investment that will extend its mobile broadband network. Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading will join London and major British airports, in being able to use Vodafone's high-speed service. The rollout is expected to be completed by autumn 2008.
In addition, Vodafone plans to change the way in which it sells Mobile Broadband. As from June, Vodafone customers will be told information such as how long it will take to download files, films and music at the point of purchase so as they can have a better idea of the types of speed they can expect from their mobile broadband package.
Vodafone has recently increased the number of mobile broadband packages available to their customers, with three new consumer tiers announced last month:
