Mobile phone crime has been examined by security outfit, CPP, and the results have pointed the finger at the top 10 English cities where your phone is most at risk.
The phone crime hot spot list is topped by Cambridge, of all places, then, with similar surprise, Leicester. Only in third place is London. In seventh place is Manchester, then Liverpool and Southampton in joint eighth with Plymouth in tenth.
According to Reghardware, the company also examined the most likely places for your mobile to go mobile. Top of the list was the pub - a bit of a no-brainer, especially when you may have had a drink or three. Next on the list are clubs, for similar reasons. Your home is actually fourth on the list but, far from theft being the actual cause, dropping down the back of the sofa, the bed or fridge is probably more relevant. In sixth, your place of work was found as another likely danger situation. Other danger areas are the train and supermarket.
