HTC's Touch Diamond mobile phone, which supports 3G, is rumoured to be launched today in London. However, not before a leaked photograph, on the face of it, appears to have given the game away.
It is no rumour, however, that HTC is about to announce a new handset or handsets. In fact, it has declared that we should "witness the next wave of HTC innovation". In amongst the rhetoric, which blends religiosity with a Victorian magic show, the new Touch Diamond might dance onto the scene, stage left.
Engadget says that the handset is fully featured in that it is said to support HSDPA 7.2, WiFi, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a 2.8in VGA display. Other features include a FM radio tuner, 3.2MP camera, microSD slot, 4Gb of internal flash memory plus Bluetooth 2.0 and eGPS. The Touch Diamond is supposed to be 10.7mm thick and comes complete with a 528Mhz CPU.
