In conjunction with the launch of the MOTO Z10, Motorola are looking for budding film makers. The 'DirectorMe' short film competition is offering 20 people the chance to win a MOTO Z10 handset, with one lucky entrant bagging £10,000 in prize money. Each film must be no longer than 90 seconds before being posted to a YouTube group, where they will be judged by a panel from Empire, O2, Motorola and advertising company, Olgivy.
There are two stages to the competition, which can be entered at www.hellomoto.co.uk. Stage one consists of entrants choosing one of the following loglines and then shooting a 90-second film about that scenario:
1.) It was only when the ‘For Sale' sign came down they truly understood the horror behind the door.
2.) Never too old for revenge - pensioner with a grudge.
3.) When the moon got too close.
4.) Fashion disaster brings unlikely couple together.
After the top twenty films are selected, each director will be awarded a MOTO Z10 which they will use to shoot another short film. These entries will then be posted on Empire magazine's online site (www.empireonline.com) with the winning director scooping the £10,000 prize money.
