Swedish manufacturer, Neonode, has announced a German distribution deal to begin in May. Speculation has now commenced that the UK might soon follow. The German territory holds over 25% of the European mobile phone market. Does this initial German deal indicate that Neonode is spreading its wings and will encompass other European countries as well?
UK users can already buy the Neonode N2 direct from the company's website. Priced at £268, including VAT and shipment, the N2 is smaller than a credit card, weighs just 60gms and features a touch-screen that presents the Neno user interface.
Other features, according to the Cellular News website, included within the Neonode N2, is a MiniSD card holding up to 32Gb of memory, a music player supporting MP3, WMA and WAV, quad-band GSM, a 2in screen supporting 65,000 colours, stereo sound via headphones but mono sound through the speaker, a 2MP camera and a video player.
