SlingPlayer Mobile has live updates that you can now download. The media player, that allows you to watch and control television programming and supports all Windows Mobile handsets, has finally received its promised updates and can now be downloaded from the parent website.
The player, which supports touch-screen and non-touchscreen handsets alongside Professional and Standard versions on the Windows operating system, has been updated to v1.6 whilst Symbian S60 smartphones have been upgraded to v1.1.
In fact, the S60 feature list also now lends support to Nokia's top-of-the-range model, the Nokia N95 8Gb plus a range of set-top boxes. In use, the updates change a range of logos and code which, in effect, improves the video quality of a range of handsets.
If you already have a copy of the SlingPlayer, the upgrade is free. However, if you're new the the SlingPlayer experience, you will need to pay a one-off fee of $30.
