Alcatel has introduced three new phones to its ‘Essence' range. The OT-S120 sports a 1.3-inch black and white screen, while the OT-S210 and OT-S211 offers a slightly bigger 1.5-inch colour screen. All three phones house an 'eye' shaped button that acts as a one-touch function for accessing the phone's menu. The manufacturer has said that the 'eye' will become a mainstay in all of Alcatel's 2008 handsets.
The feature set is relatively low, but the sleek design should appeal to those in the entry-level market. All three handsets feature an FM radio and weigh a mere 69g with an impressive battery life of 400 hours' standby time and 300 minutes' talktime. Alcatel is yet to announce the stockists and price of the handsets but they will be available in black or white with a choice of trim from fuschia pink and apple green.
