More people will now be able to enjoy free international calls with their mobile phones. VoIP provider Skype has launched a beta version of its service with a feature set including chat, group chat, presence (seeing when your contacts are online) and Skype-to-Skype calls. The service is already available on 50 handsets from Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Motorola with many more to follow in the coming months and follows in the footsteps of 3's Skypehone released earlier in the year.
To download the beta version of Skype, visit www.skype.com/go/mobiledownload where a list of compatible handsets can also be found. Alternatively the service can be purchased as a direct over-the-air download.
