Parrot launches first NFC mobile speaker

It seems Near Field Communications (NFC) technology is hot news this week. First Nokia announced the 6121 Classic NFC phone and now Parrot has unveiled the first ever NFC speaker system.

Whereas, pairing phones with Bluetooth accessories involves navigating menus, Parrot says that NFC technology enables pairing simply by touching the Party Black Edition speakers to the handset.

IN addition to fast-pairing NFC technology, the Parrot PARTY Black Edition speakers offer a Class D amplifier, a total power output of 6W and features such as stereo widening and virtual superbass.

Of course, although millions of handsets are predicted to carry NFC technology over the next few years, they're still extremely rare at the moment. Fear not, the speakers can also pair with a mobile using Bluetooth technology.

The Parrot PARTY Black Edition speakers will be available this summer for £79.
