The trend to spruce up a basic mobile handset with gold and precious stones has moved onto Nokia's E90. It is the creation of Peter Aloisson, an Austrian designer-jeweller who has already covered the E65, Motorola KRZR and Sony Ericsson's T68 with gold and diamonds.
More recently, Aloisson slapped 18-carat white gold, 138 princess cut and 180 brilliant cut diamonds onto an Apple iPhone (which, fully decked, fetches 120,000 Euros each). Now, the controversial designer has stuck a mere 408 diamonds onto a red E90, plus the 18 karat gold, of course. Yours for just £52,000 Euros. Check out http://www.aloisson.com/ for more information.
