Vodafone UK is increasing its total number of outlets to 347 creating 330 retail advisor jobs in the process. Replacing the store in Terminal 1, passengers and airport staff will be able to visit the new Terminal 5 store at Heathrow airport when it opens on 27 March. A further three stores will also be opened in the next few weeks in London's St Pancras station, Islington and Belfast.
Each store will continue to be divided into various zones. The ‘self-service' area provides products including phone covers and top-up cards, as well as online self-help, while the ‘pharmacy for phones' area gives customers advice on phones and services. Customers will also be able to try before they buy, as stores will have sales pods with working handsets. Furthermore, customers will be kept informed as to how long they have to wait before being served thanks to Vodafone's ‘Q-Management' technology.
