Following Samsung's announcement of its ‘Soul' phone at Mobile World Congress, the manufacturer has announced it is also to produce a clamshell version. The G400 boasts an internal 2.22-inch TFT LCD display, as well as a full touch-screen external display. Users will be able to access the FM radio, music player, camera and photo album all while the clamshell is closed.
As with the Soul, users will be able to personalise their G400 by changing their user interfaces, such as background images, fonts and colours. When the phone is idle, users will have the option of displaying wallpaper, a digital clock, analogue clock, or calendar modes through the external display.
Feature wise, the Samsung G400 includes a five-megapixel camera, with automatic face detection, image stabiliser and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), as well as ultra-quick 7.2Mbps HSDPA for fast internet access.
The Samsung G400 is expected to start shipping in Europe from June.
