LG launches 'mind reading' phone

The LG KF600's landmark feature is its InteractPad navigation, which replaces traditional physical navigation keys with a selection of illuminated icons.

The InteractPad is essentially a second display that sits directly beneath the phone's main display and can be used to navigate the LG KF600's music player, camera and video camera, and also happens to make a striking feature on the phone's smooth fascia. The InteractPad is also equipped with multi-sensorial feedback, so when you press a virtual button it will become larger, vibrate slightly and make a clicking sound.

The LG KF600 includes eight dynamic graphic interface themes and when users choose a theme, all the layouts of each application will be reflected in the menu. For example, click on the music theme, and the phone's touch-sensitive music controls will automatically be displayed in the InteractPad.

To complement the the touch-sensitive operation, the KF600 boasts a slide out keypad for calls and texts. The handset comes in pastel pink, wine pink, wine red, or titan.
