Samsung says the Soul, which stands for spirit of ultra, will target style conscious users and, we have to admit, it looks very swish in the press shots, with its brushed metal finish and customisable touchscreen interface.
In keeping with the other handsets in the Ultra Edition series like the D900 and U600, the Samsung Soul is a very slimline slider style phone, measuring just 12.9mm thin. However it blows its predecessors out of the water for features, which include a 5 megapixel camera with face detection, image stabiliser and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), HSDPA data speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and a music player with a Bang and Olufsen ICEpower amplifier.
The Samsung Soul also features 'Magic Touch' touch senstive navigation and users which alters the phone's navigation icons according to the user's needs. For example, when in music mode, music related icons appear, and when in camera mode, brightness and zoom icons will appear.
Samsung is set to display the phone at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona next week and the phone is set to go on sale in April.
