O2's £35 a month iPhone tariffs will now come with a bundle of 600 minutes and 500 texts, up from the original amount of 200 minutes and 200 texts. The minutes included in a £45 per month tariff have been doubled to 1200, however the number of texts remains the same at 500.
O2 confirmed that customers who have already signed up to an iPhone contract will have their monthly minutes and texts increased from February. The change to O2's iPhone tariffs is part of a wider initiative by the operator to simplify its pay monthly tariffs by bringing in six price points, allowing the customer to choose the text and minute bundle that best suits them.
In addition O2 customers can choose from seven £7.50 Bolt Ons to add to their tariff, while access to voicemail will be free across all new price points. Examples of these Bolt Ons include unlimited O2 to O2 calls, unlimited anyone texts and unlimited weekend calls.
