Altec Lansing showcases new iPhone speakers

Altec Lansing has announced three new sets of Bluetooth music speakers, including one designed specifically for the Apple iPhone.

Sporting a docking station that houses the touch-screen device, the T612 charges the iPhone while producing a crisp and clear sound. If a call comes in while music is playing, the T612 will pause automatically, while the iPhone is removed to receive the call. When the iPhone is placed back in the dock, the music will resume from where it was paused. Boasting GSM shielding to prevent picking up intermittent noises, the T612 also features neodymium speakers as well as XdB bass-enhancement technology. The system comes boxed with a wireless remote, as well as a standard auxiliary-in jack making it compatible with other MP3 and audio devices.

The SoundBlade is a portable Bluetooth speaker system that weighs only 455g. At only one-inch thick, the SoundBlade supports both AC and six AA batteries, making it highly portable. The speaker system is Bluetooth v2.0 meaning it's compatible with most mobile handsets.

No bigger than your fist, the Orbit is both lightweight and shock resistant, providing a surround sound. Small enough to be transported in a pocket or handbag, you needn't worry about it switching on on the move, as you need to twist the speaker to turn it on. Operating on just three AAA batteries, the Orbit offers up to 24 hours playback time.

The Orbit is now available at a RRP of £29.99. The SoundBlade will start shipping in March for £89.99 (inc. VAT), with the T612 following in April at £139.
