Software converts text from digital photos into speech.
CapturaTalk is a new piece of software that identifies and then extracts text from digital photos and electronic documents before reading it out loud by high-quality digital speech by Acapela. CapturaTalk hopes to act as a solution for people who have reading difficulties, through dyslexia, sight impairments or if English is not their first language.
Currently the software is only available on the HTC TyTN and TyTN II, but iansyst Ltd hope the software will eventually be available to other Windows mobile phones. And it doesn't come cheap. The HTC TyTN and TyTN II embedded with CapturaTalk are available now for £995 (ex VAT) each.
