LG's new budget handset range

If the recipient of your festive generosity is the type of person who just wants to be able to make calls and maybe take the odd snap, then the LG KG130 could be the phone for them. A candy bar with a 4x zoom and VGA camera, LG claims this is one of the easiest handsets to use.

Alternatively, the LG KP202 is a clamshell that sports an internal antennae, dual-LCD and a VGA camera, all packed into a slim 20mm frame.Or if you want a cheap music phone, the LG KG290 offers expandable storage and a high quality screen, it also boasts a 1.3-megapixel camera along with Bluetooth capabilities.

Viewed as a younger sibling to the LG Shine, the KE500 keeps the mirrored LCD screen along with the slider mechanism. This slim metallic phone also includes a two-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom.

Finally, the LG KG275 is a candybar phone that can store 300 entries in its phonebook and 100 texts in its storage capacity. With a 1.5-inch LCD colour screen, along with speaker phone this handset is decent value for money.

All five handsets are now available and would all make great stocking fillers.
