The new Samsung and Bang and Olufsen music mobile

As you'd expect from a Bang and Olufsen inspired handset, the Serenata looks strikingly original, but it's also got an impressive set of music features, including: HSDPA connectivity for rapid downloads; 4GB of 'solid state' memory, built-in hi-fi speakers and a bass system designed to replicate the sound quality and functionality of your home music system.

At the core of the handset is a click-wheel for navigation.. As there are very few actual keys, the click wheel is used for phone dialling, writing texts and emails and accessing the music lists. In addition to the click-wheel,, the Serenata also offers touchscreen operation, courtesy of sensi-touch technology.

A 2.4 ins Samsung LCD screen displays album covers in high resolution, and the handset boasts BeoPlayer, a software that lets you organise all your music files on your PC and transfer them to the handset. Meanwhile, the PureMusic function allows you to listen to music without interruptions while calls are received by the answering device.

The Serenata is the second collaboration between Samsung and Bang and Olufsen, and follows the Serene, which launched two years ago.
