LG mobile handsets to show YouTube

LG will be providing a new user interface on all new handsets featuring the YouTube service, designed to enable users to quickly access and upload video content. The new handsets will be available from the end of the year.

According to LG, the service will work on the mobile in exactly the same way as it does on a PC. YouTube is an online video community with millions of customers watching and sharing originally created videos.

But you don't have to be an LG phone owner to enjoy YouTube. The m.youtube.com site is now live and users wishing to upload videos from their mobiles simply send them via MMS to an email address. To watch YouTube on your mobile you simply need an EDGE, 3G or HSDPA handset that plays streaming videos.

YouTube has also been available to Vodafone mobile customers on handsets which can access the operator's Live full internet portal since June 6.
